The fried oysters are incredible!! The scallops melt in your mouth. Delicious!
I love businesses that have a flare for excellence. First impressions matter...Mary executed perfectly. Friendly with Finesse is how I describe Matt our liaison to our Chefs. It's Restaurant Week so we enjoyed a wide selection of foods ... Black Garlic Aioli added to the adventure ... darkened our smile but not our evening ... it was fun and that is what dining out should be ... Yes! Food was good only trumped by exceptional service tonight. Cheers!
We recently moved back to Richmond after 20 years away, and had been spoiled by our past 5 years in the Portland, OR foodie scene. Southbound feels and tastes like Portland - which with James Beard nominees and Top Chef winners littering the ground, is no small compliment. These chefs have achieved that perfect balance of creativity and restraint, experimentation and respect for tradition, and the unexpected and the familiar. Make it a point to dine here - and I'll bet you can't stop at once.
