I brought in a 2007 Ford Focus about a month ago for a steering pump noise. They supposedly replaced it. Now, I'm dealing with the same issue again. Being a single mother with two jobs, I need reliable transportation. I will not return to this distrusting place again!
My favorite thing about working with South Street Auto Care is the "Care" part. I don't like having to get my car repaired. I don't think anyone does, however walking into their store and knowing they care about their customers is the reason why I come back and refer people I know to them. RecommendedThis place is NOT your typical auto service shop! I was impressed right away when their hold music repeated the mission and core values of the office- it was a refreshing reminder that this would be different than other service shops. I had a 10:15 appointment and my oil change and tire rotation were completed quickly and efficiently while I waited. Best of all- it was $30 cheaper than my last oil change place charged! We have been coming here with our cars since it was North Hill Marathon. We trust this company, especially as the previous owner still works with them. We have always been treated fairly and honestly. I drive 30 miles to bring my car to SSAC.
We stumbled upon South Street Auto Care out of desperation after the dealership failed to fix an issue with my van. It was our 2nd miserable experience with the Rochester Hills Dodge Chrysler dealership and we were DONE. South Street was amazing to work with. They identified and fixed the problem within a day. My husband and I absolutely love South Street Auto Care! We love the atmosphere and how friendly and professional everyone is! They also offer a free loaner car which has saved us a few times while getting work done on our car! I would highly recommend for anyone who just wants an honest and great place to take your vehicle!
The team at South Street always goes above and beyond whether explaining exactly what needs to be fixed and why, providing a ride to and from their shop, creating a clean and comfortable place to wait, or lending a loaner vehicle. I have always felt confident in their service and advice and have been taking my vehicles to them for over 20 years.
I used to love these guys. But last time they left a bunch of grease prints in my car and this time they locked my keys in it! I paid over the phone so I could come get my car after hours as I’m working 12-14 hours a day right now. I came here because it was convenient to drive their loaners. Now I’m sitting outside of their shop waiting for my spare keys at 9pm. It’s a Buick too, so the lock button isn’t even on the door. So whichever genius did this had to reach over my center counsel and lock the keys inside.
