I am impatiently awaiting September 15th so I can order the Dandelion Leek Miso - I think there's magic in that jar. I've driven to Conway in the off season to purchase it, but I no longer live in Massachusetts. I won't be running out this time around!
I love your product. Miso never tasted so good and fresh. This summer, I am starting my morning with a cold dashi with Chickpea miso mixed in. YUM
This is my favorite miso. I have not had any kinds that I don't like which is why I regularly have 6 to 8 jars in my refrigerator. It is one of my favorite fermented foods. I love that the miso is sold in glass jars. I have visited the "factory" and wow. It was amazing that they can do what they do where they do it. It's an artisan product that I am happy to buy and a company that I like to support.
This is my first time to this site but I have been using South River Miso for a couple of years, now. I order it by the case! It makes wonderful gifts and then the case is gone, gone. My new use is miso (South River of course) and bone broth. Start my morning with it! Great winter starter! (My apology to any vegetarians that might think this is an utter abomination of the use of Miso but it is what my body needs and it tastes so good.)
In my opinion, South River Miso is the best in the world!
Absolutely the best miso you will find outside of Japan. And some very interesting flavors - dandelion leek, adzuki bean and more! - that you won't find anywhere else! My only complaint is I just want bigger jars!
I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for taking the time to make a wholesome food in a traditional way. I know it takes so much effort to make such a high quality food item. I have been ordering from you for years and will continue for years to come.
