These guys are scammers and my wife and I are filing cases against them. We went to get my daughter a car and they showed us a price and then the paperwork we signed was more than the agreed price. They said it will be the price and payment when we put the down payment down. They lied and it was not the payment. We said we wanted our down payment back and they refused. DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP. There are so many other Hyundai locations. They bait and switch you and will gas light you. I never really write bad reviews unless there was something super egregious and maliciously done on purpose, not accidental.Tried to come in to take advantage of expiring EV tax rebate and ask for price out the door. we came to Stockton Hyundai today. They charged a $250 service fee on a car that got absolutely nothing done to it. They didnt open it. They didnt touch it. They had an insurance adjuster come in and see if the insurance was going to pay for it they said no so Hyundai charged a $250 fee which I think the Better Business Bureau should do something about this thats an absolutely ridiculous fee for nothing being done to the car at all just saying they looked at it when they never looked at it. I am filing this complaint to warn other consumers and to seek resolution for a series of broken promises and deceptive sales practices by Safford-Brown Hyundai (Stafford/Manassas, VA). The sales representative told us beforehand that we were already approved, so we drove all the way out there only to find out they hadnt even run our information yet and we still had to wait for a credit check. DO NOT LEASE OR BUY FROM THIS PLACE!! I have 2 leased cars with this dealership! I have been in there 6 times and each time youre just a new person, doesnt matter how many cars you have with them. 9/21/25 I went on the my HYUNDAI financial page and pulled a 10 day payoff for my 2023 LEASED Elantra $16171.71. Negative stars, they try to intimidate women and double charge for service. My girlfriend went in there and they were the worst creatures to her, least professional people that could exist in the car world. They try to call the police when you call them out on their poor practice. And they treat women awful. Stay far away please. They are sick creatures not fit for this earth. NEVER NEVER NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

They lied about the year of the car, over charged me. I bought a ***** Cruze they charged me ****** it was 2 yrs ago. They told me it was a 2017, it wasnt. Its been in the shop 3 times. I had to buy a warranty and now I have to drive to ************ to cancel a worthless warranty. Dont go there, they will rip you off.
