I met with Dr. Gavin today through a 3rd party because my Veterinarian has retired. My pit-bull became suddenly ill and I searched for an alternative route for immediate care. I was blessed to have found Dr. Gavin! That said, my review: Dr. Gavin made me feel much better in speaking to him. I learned a lot of useful information on monitoring and caring for my dog during her downtime. I called to make an appointment for my sick cat who is in a lot of pain. The receptionist was short with me and appeared to be annoyed. She didn’t even take the time to ask about my cat or help me schedule an appointment before hanging up. Pretty disappointed, as I was looking for a holistic vet. I’ll be going elsewhere.
Our dog had back surgery 5 years ago. She got through that fine—back to her old self. Suddenly she had great pain. Couldn’t lift her tail, she could put little weight on her left rear leg, had to be carried out to relieve herself. Our regular vet put her on pain pills among other pills. He gave her a general laser treatment on her back. No improvement. We were concerned we might have to put our 10 year old dog down. Used their online app to try and make an appointment. While I get that they may not be able to fit in if busy, some response would have been good, even to say , no. NO response at all.
