In 1991, Mark founded the SBCC and operated it as a second business. In August 1994, the SBCC incorporated with Mr. and Mrs. Tarner as majority shareholders. We now have 10 company-owned stores in northern Indiana and 10 franchised locations thoughout Indiana and Michigan. The factory is located at 3300 W. My husband and I came in today and my husband asked for a frozen chocolate chai. First the lady serving us was rude with us saying that they don't offer frozen beverages, so he chose to have it iced. There was SO much ice in the cup you could hardly call it a drink. A few sips and it was gone. It tasted like water with a hint of chai. She was also rude to us when he asked for white chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Apparently that also is not an option. I keep seeing all of these nasty posts about how horrible the customer service is and how rude the employees are. All I have to say is every single time I've been in I've had an absolutely lovely time. My husband and I aren't able to go out as much as the rest of the people posting rude reviews on here, so we don't let slow/snappy/or even rude employees ruin our day. We may notice it, but we laugh it off thinking, "What's their problem?!" My point is this. I will continue to go to the SBCC whenever we can afford it. But obvi... read more
