a superb expert in the field with a personalized touch!!! – I have finally found my eyesight again. great lenses – I just got my second pair of lenses from Mickey. These are even better (new technology) than the last pair. Something about super HD? Bifocals with *no* adjustment time! Woohoo! And, I love my frames... can't beat it! :-) Oh, the chocolate part? There's a little bowl of 'em by the door. That's probably why I stop by so often ;-)

Outstanding Service – Recently moved to Austin and needed new glasses. Mickey looked at my old ones and promised he could make a pair that would be more comfortable and not feel like they needed constant adjusting. He did and after wearing the new ones for a month I could not be happier! I recommend South Austin Optical to everyone.

The Best Place in Town for Eyewear – I have purchased my family's eyewear from Mickey for over 20 years. I have never been disappointed with his product and service. He is a true professional in his field ,and in this day and time, that can be hard to find.

Wonder eye wear – Mickey is extremely helpful explaining the different types of lens. He has a great eye for picking frames that look good on you. He picked a great frame that looks great on me. I can see better than I have seen in a long time. Service was great. Wish I had know about Mickey sooner. will be going there for now on. Just fantastic.

Spectacular Service – After searching several local optical offices for the perfect frames, I found the style that I wanted, but not the color. I did a search to see who carried that particular line, made some calls to check inventory and price, and then read reviews. Mickey is extremely helpful, explaining the difference in lenses, special ordering the frames and then, if you like, critiquing style and color. Suprise, suprise, purple works. Get your specs here! – I've been buying my glasses at South Austin Optical since I moved here in 1980, and I've never been disappointed. I've bought normal glasses, glasses with clip-on shades, sports glasses and prescription sunglasses; now I'm buying progressive lenses (groan!). Mickey carries top-quality frames, he has a fantastic eye for what looks good on me, and he does repairs quickly and cheaply (usually free). My glasses are sooo pretty! – I dreaded getting a new pair of glasses for years but I need a pair when my last pair of contacts tore. I have one eye that has really bad vision while the other is not so bad. So, when I got glasses they always looked funny because one lens was way thicker than the other. I went to the store picked out a pair, ordered them and when I went to pick them up I was estatic. They came better than what I imagined, the lens looked great and I am very happy with them.
