The Sourdough Mining Company Restaurant opened on Mother's Day of 1984, and was originally intended as a small barbeque house. No sonner were the doors open, than visions grew...and with that so did the menu and the name. No longer Sourdough Barbecue, we remain a locally owned and family run establishment catering to the needs of other families. Great food for the great prices! Also, everyone there was friendly! I enjoyed the ice cream bar as well and could get free ice cream! Saw your ad on TV and wanted to come and have some great food and that was what we got! Every time I am in Anchorage (or Alaska), this will be a stop! I will also recommend your place to my friends and family!
Had hard black pcs in the burger. Manger said it was from the grill. ( don't you ever clean it? ) This was in my cousin meal from Wisconsin . I had a Pull Pork that was served cold and it was chunks and hardly pulled. The BQ sauce seemed to be watered down and didn't have a good taste. I had one bite and that was it . I will stay away and tell my Kenai friends what took place. Also there is dust all over the upper logs and fans that are in the center of the place.
