The Sourdough Mining Company Restaurant opened on Mother's Day of 1984, and was originally intended as a small barbeque house. No sonner were the doors open, than visions grew...and with that so did the menu and the name. No longer Sourdough Barbecue, we remain a locally owned and family run establishment catering to the needs of other families. Really miss the place. The food, customer service was excellent. Left Anchorage in 1996 and I still remember and recommend people go there for the food and atmosphere. Will definitely say go, eat, and enjoy.
My favorite place to eat when I visit Alaska! Loved the seafood soup and corn fritters! Oh the ice cream bar too!
Food is always delicious & always a great dining experience for my family & I. Love the decorations & staff is always friendly.
The family feast is a really good deal. We add an order of corn fritters and it's awesome. We are a family of 5. All boys. And we always take food home.
