Poor customer service
I just wanted my large sandwich cut in 3. They said they didn’t want to cut it. I was going to share it with 2 kids so I needed it to be cut. They do it all the time in the san mateo location but this location doesn’t do it I guess. They had an attitude.
My chicken salad sandwich had very little chicken salad, so I paid a lot for bread, 2 slices of tomato, a little lettuce and a small amount of chicken salad. Half of the sandwich had almost no chicken salad. My husband ordered a pastrami sandwich which he said was good, but the small order of macaroni and cheese was really tiny, and was supposed to include 2 small slices of sourdough bread, which were left out. The owner is so kind—I didn’t even realize he was the owner until I started asking questions! The food is absolutely delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is classy and inviting. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing breakfast or lunch. And don’t miss the chili—it’s divine!
