very nice people was there for the first time could have stayed all day got some hard to find plants and will try to make it there every year but im sure i will be doing some mail orders thanks again for showing us around love your garden just wish we were closer
Thought I had died and gone to shade lovers gardeners heaven! What a lovely intriguing place . Purchased 9 lovely hostas but plan a return trip soon. l Greatly enjoyed walking the grounds getting ideas and talking with the owners. Again, planning a return trip very soon and I expect many more to come . My Woodruff Place garden will NEVER be the same!Two thumbs up and I took off my shoes and stuck BOTH big toes up . It is that cool of place!

Driving thru town decided to stop. Drove in no one around. Gates open. Rude woman comes out. Why are you here we are closed that closes sign you drove around told you that. She was unbelievably rude. The gate was open and they put the closed sign out behind my car. Then I drove around it. I don't handle rude well. There was no call for this behavior. Beware.

I made a visit to Soules 23 years ago in an effort to fill my shaded yard. Marge walked me along the aisles of hostas and asked what I liked. She helped me choose 15 plants, dug them up herself, split them, watered them, and wrapped them in newspaper then plopped them in the back of my station wagon. Since then, I have split and replanted nearly 100 off-spring from these plants, remembering how she deftly and gently treated each hosta plant as if they were her own children. This was our first visit to Soules Garden, and can't wait to go back...wonderful gardens !! Cynthia and Chris couldn't have been more helpful. We picked up several new awesome Hosta and more importantly,made new friends.:)
