As a solo practitioner, I see each patient myself, and take the time to listen to patients' questions and concerns. I answer patient phone calls myself. You will always be seen by the doctor, not an assistant . My philosophy can be summarized as a personal and thorough approach to each patient in the context of rigorous up to date medical knowledge.

Dr. Lukashok is one of the coldest doctors I've met. She has little to no compassion for any of your issues. If you're looking for someone who is going to listen and be empathetic to your issues, Dr. Lukashok should be last on that list.
When no other doctor or specialist could identify my issue (and believe me, I saw plenty), Dr. Lukashok nailed it within 24 hours. I was at a point where I wanted to end my life due to the pain. Dr. Lukashok was kind, funny when appropriate, and set me up with a medication plan that saved my life. I'm so glad that my neurologist referred me to her. She is THE BEST in her field and I would never see any other Infectious Disease physician, even if it meant going outside my current plan.
VERY EXCELLENT BEDSIDE MANNERS!!! DR. LUKASHOK IS BY FAR ONE OF THE IN THE BUSINESS. HER OFFICE STAFF IS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS AS WELL. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE SEEKING A PHYSICIAN FOR PRIMARY CARE OR INFECTIOUS DISEASE (HIV/AIDS) but not limited to.
I've been seeing Dr. Lukashok for almost 3yrs, and she is a phenomenal physician. She has a good balance of science and humanity. She covers all of the angles. She has guided me back to phenomenal health and spirits with her solid medical knowledge and easy demeanor. I trust her judgement IMPLICITLY, including her referrals.
My experience with Dr. Lukashok is among the best I have ever had with a physician. She is personable, professional, extremely knowledgeable, efficient and genuinely cares about her patients well being. She is a straight shooter with both the good and not-so-good news. She is a TREMENDOUS listener. She is also VERY genuine. I consider her a trustee advisor and close friend, as well. A true credit to her profession.
Absolute worst experience/initial visit I've ever had with any doctor. Considering I'm 50+ that's saying something. Perhaps I've been lucky or gotten better referrals. Intake/frt desk told me she took my insurance. When Dr. came in room she told looked at my chart & said she didn't & barked at me: "You know that's like medicaid right? Right?" Uh...no, I didn't. She didn't listen to my medical needs. She tried to physically examine me when I asked her not to. Then charged me $225. Please avoid.
She is one of the best doctors I have ever seen.
I had to switch to her when it became completely impossible to get an appointment anymore at my longtime doctor at Emory. I wasnt excited to switch but she's been great. I do like my old doctor better (personality wise Lukashok is kinda cold) but she is very smart and I can get in anytime I want to see her with no wait.
I FIRST STARTED SEEING DR SOPHIE A LUKASHOK BACK IN 1998. I AM MENTALLY SLOW FROM HAVING A BAD STROK PRIOR TO SEEING HER. I HAD BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH AIDS/HIV BACK IN 1990 AND HAD SYMPTOMS AS EARLY AS 1987. BY SEEING HER MY MEDICINES DID CHANGE AND HELPED WITH OTHER BODY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS HER HELP WITH AIDS/HIV. I HAVE NOT SEEN HER SINCE 2005. BUT I THINK I WOULD NOT BE ALIVE IF I HAD NOT BEEN CONNECTED WITH SOPHIE.A GREAT DOCTOR!!!!!!!
