RecommendedFood was great. Service was just OK. Got charged $2 per person to remove the cork from my wine bottle. Could have done it myself and was prepared to do so.. The waiter offered to open it, so I said sure. Was never told I would be charged for it, or I would have done it myself as I was about to do Its not about the $2. Its about principal and transparency. Don't offer to do something as a favor, then charge people for it..... And why is removing 1 cork, charged as $2 per person?? Hey Jeff, my name is Christopher and I am the owner at Sophia’s. Believe me we are all about transparency as well. Our $2 “corking fee” is not necessarily because of the cork, it’s a minimal fee we charge to drink alcohol of any sort in the establishment.. we charge it on wine, beer and hard alcohol. It’s mainly for the glassware and overall service we provide. Most, if not all BYOB restaurants charge a similar fee or attempt to hide it in higher cost menu items. We love it here! Everything on the menu is superb!
Incredible menu! Everything is prepared fresh to order. Chef was very accommodating to my gluten free needs. Salmon was cooked to perfection, moist and full of flavor. Excellent service. BYOB is great
