Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday. Waited 5 min for a hostess to show up and seat us. Salad bar was dirty and I had to ask for soup bowls and waited 5 min for waitress to bring one. Meal served 15 min and soup was cold muffin was stale. Husbands all you eat pork fries were cold. Floors were slippery and there were two waitresses on the floor with 8 tables left to be cleaned. Well last Friday night me my husband and sister and her husband was there,to have nice quiet dinner,boy was we wrong, there was a fist fight in the kitchen where we Seen every blow, I have never been in this Sonny's and had a good experience,either they short you on your portions,or they don't bring what you ordered,we ordered appetizer fried okra and they didn't bring dipping sauce SO I had to go to salad bar to get ranch dressing,and we waited an hour for our food if they were short handed,that is not our fault at all,we k... read more
I have eaten Sonny's on numerous occasions in several different states and have always had a top notch meal. Decided to dine here this eve, (Valentine's day AND my anniversary). Really wish we had gone elsewhere. Numerous empty seats, yet had to wait 15 minutes. I had the brisket, which was very dry. My wife had the pork 3 way....ribs were not even close to fall off the bone, sliced pork was VERY fatty, and the pulled pork was drowned in sauce. On the bright side, our sweet tea was very good. Won't be back to this location.
I have been eating Sonnys for years and have always had a great meal, today was the exeption. We waited over an hour and a half to get our food. The excuse was they had a large party and ran out of meat and had to cook more. When I finally got my chicken it was apparent that it had been baked and not smoked. They said it wasn't, I beg to differ. They gave us $25 off of a $60 meal. The manager should have comped it all. I am very disappointed and will probably eat at Rib City next time I want bbq.
