About this business
In 1968, we were just a local BBQ joint in Gainesville, Florida. Today, we're still a local BBQ joint. We just happen to be in a few more locations. But we still do things the same way Floyd "Sonny" Tillman and his wife, Lucille, did back then. We still slow-smoke over oak for up to 12 hours at a time. We still serve generous portions. And we still believe people should be able to go out to eat and feel right at home.

The food was alright but the service was horrible! My server wouldn't even slow down and introduce herself. She barely heard my order and screwed it up. Plus she disappeared after she took our order. My glass was left empty. Boyfriend and I were very disappointed.
One of my favorite places to eat,Dublin ,Ga has the best for sure,my kids and I love it

Had the most amazing drive thru experience!!! She was super sweet and nice! If all restaurants had employees like her!!! (Keira did an amazing job!)
Terrible food and service was worse. We waited forever for our drinks and it wasn't because they were busy. Sonny's use to be my husbands place to go. Would go out of the way to eat at one. Not again. All I ate was salad bar so kind of hard to mess that up, but Rodney's was awlful.
