I saw Dr. Mathes this morning for a cortisone injection in the lateral side of my right knee. Dr. Mathes was very pleasant from the moment she walked into the treatment room and explained what was going to happen. I have had numerous injections pre and post surgery in the medial and lateral sides of my knee and today's was great. The process didn't make me want to scream and I walked down all three flights of stairs without any pain on my way out. Still no pain and not going to do anything to ruin that feeling!
I met Dr. Mathes nearly four years ago. at the time, my life had been severely compromised by the chronic pain of my affected knee. Dr. Mathes listened to me moan and groan, and gave me one of two injections, following xray of course. I returned for the second, and have never looked back. Dr. Mathes did warn me that I would need a new knee in the near future. I am now, 77 years old, and walking like a teenager. Thank You so much Dr. Mathes, you gave me my life back.
