I saw Dr. Song several years ago for a similar exam. She reviewed the test results from the past and made recommendations for new tests. They were all completed. Dr. Song explained the results and answered all my questions. Should I become symptomatic again, I will make an appointment to review my case and to follow up.
I went with a friend to her appointment and this is the first time in my life that the doctor was already in the room waiting. Dr. Song was direct/thorough in explaining condition and the next steps. She did not rush and ask more than once if we had any questions.I liked her no-nonsense approach and would recommend her to others.
Dr. Song spent a minimal amount of time with me. I brought extensive medical records from multiple doctors for her benefit and review in addressing my condition. She said that she did not need to review the records before flippantly hypothesizing a diagnosis. I have never dealt with a Doctor who is so cavalier and disinterested in reviewing important medical documents, especially when postulating a serious diagnosis. Her opinion radically differed from multiple doctors yet she refused to look at their records. Her attitude w... read more
I saw Dr Song for an EMG at Center for Neuroscience. She spent a minimal amount of time with me. And flippantly stated I have only carpal tunnel syndrome and my numbness and weakness cannot be attributed to the spinal cord compression in my neck as indicated on multiple CT’s & MRI’s.
DR. SONG IS THE BEST NEOUROLOGIST I'VE EVER SEEN. FROM THE MOMENT I WALKED INTO THE BUILDING FOR THE FIRST APPOINTMENT, I WAS TREATED WITH COURTESY, RESPECT, AND PROFESSIONALISM. THE STAFF IS VERY WELL ORGANIZED. DR. SONG IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT NEUROLOGICAL ISSUES. SHE OBSERVES THE PATIENT FOR SIGNS & SYMPTOMS, LISTENS TO THEIR MEDICAL HISTORY--NEVER RUSHING THROUGH AN APPOINTMENT, AND FORMULATES A DIANOSIS BASED ON THAT INFORMATION. THEN, UTILIZING HER EXTENSIVE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AT SOME OF BEST HOSPITALS AND NEU... read more
I was curious why my mother felt uneasy whenever the name Dr. Song was mentioned. After reviewing Song's reviews, I decided to revisit the matter and inquire why my mom felt that way. She mentioned that Dr. Song had an impersonal demeanor and that if you couldn't keep up with her pace, you might feel hurried or pressured to speak. My mother has difficulty concentrating and expressing herself coherently.
The appointments are always very rushed. One of my appointments was as short as three minutes. Yes, I’m not exaggerating. So far, my experiences have been very disappointing but I’ve not searched for another provider due to their wait time for new patients. I may leave soon. My concerns are not addressed, and when I’m trying to explain something or provide updates on my medical health, I’m interrupted with a “Okay, I’ll see you in a month” .. again because she is always rushed. It’s very sad and disappointing. The only posit... read more
We were very pleased with our appt with Dr. Song. She listened to my father's issues, took the time to explain to him what she felt were the underlying causes (even showed him textbook pictures so he could visualize what she was saying). She discussed the treatment and why it was the best for his particular issue. She answered our questions and was clear on the next steps. We feel very good about having her become my father's neurologist.
Dr. Song is a caring and thorough physician who treated me today. She does what few other doctors do - she takes the time to listen deeply. She diagnosed a complicated situation of multiple seemingly unrelated symptoms. Wait time was minimal and at no time did I feel she was rushed even though she has many back to back patients. She is very professional and I think that is what everyone wants as their physician. I do not understand some of the negative comments here. I suspect it is cultural misunderstanding
