I really hadn't paid attention online when I booked. Should have known since the price per room was lower than average in the area. Had gotten to the facility and there was a big steel box entrance sign at the front desk area. The check in area had old beat up carpeting and wasn't necessarily tidy. Got to the room and there was an odd smell. It had a kitchenette, the paper towel was has some weird mark on it (not sure what it was). The couch in the room was beat down and stained. This is my second and LAST stay at this Sonesta Suites. We stayed at the Troy location first and had a great experience. So we chose to stay at the Novi location in January 2025 with a satisfactory experience. It's definitely an older location but was clean. This stay 10/4‐10/6 ... I'm disgusted with the room 109. There's visible mold in the bathtub, the bathroom sink backs up while MISSING the stopper. The smoke detector has been ripped from the ceiling. And the carpet is dirty and WET. I believe the air conditioner is leak... read more

Cutoff at 3am-12pm if you travel at night good luck getting a room.

This would have gotten 5 stars but my room smelled strongly after some cleaning product (carpet shampoo). The room was not to clean either (hairs on the bathroom floor). It does have a kitchenette with full fridge, stove, microwave.
