Salon Owner Bouncer was great, must have intimidated someone! Great people, great plasce, food and drink! Beautiful view,ORIGINALITY,very cool!
nice food, not much more I guess I should be excited about eating at Solera. I was. After eatting from the prescribed menu I felt under whelmed. I did enjoy some of the choice, but some of the others were, well, OK. Not sure if I'd go back, but the drinks were prepared with care.
Beautiful Artwork, Authentic and Spicy Food The menu for Solera is quite extensive, and the artwork adds a beautiful touch to the authenticity of this restaurant. What I really like is the seperate tapas bar, which is open later than the regular restaurant. There is a rooftop bar as well, which offers a beautiful view of the city. The wait staff is very polite, the food is served quickly, and the drinks are priced right.
Worst NYE Experience Ever We had prepaid tickets for NYE at Solera, which was advertised to be a great time. We got there and had to wait in a line in the freezing cold for over an hour. When we finally made it to the door the boucer didn't check our tickets or ID and ignored us when we asked what the wait was for. We got in and found more long lines for coat check and long lines at the bar. The place was packed with people and understaffed. It was the biggest waste of time and money. *drool* Words fail me. I love, love, love, love, LOVE this place. Everything about it is perfect. I've been half a dozen times, and every time is the same - the food is brilliant, the service is better than any place I've ever been, the staff (every last one of 'em) is friendly, accomodating, and bending over backwards for you. I won't go to Solera again...the risk for more disappointment is too great I cannot begin to voice how upset I am with Solera and their NYE celebration. Dissapointment and disgust are probably the best words I can use. Several other reviews have been written, so I will not ramble on, as you can read others thoughts. And, yes...It was that bad. Worst happy hour experience of my life My co workers and I went to Solera because we have heard of their great roof top. We went there and had a fine time but when it came to the bill I have never had such a horrible experience. First, we ordered the Tapas for 2. The menu stated that it was $25 and our bill stated $29.
