We had a fabulous dinner and the setting was lovely. Our waiter was excellent and the pianist made the experience exceptional. Having dined at the White Barn for many years we were saddened to see that the dress code has been reduced to allowing jeans and golf shirts. It is very clear on the website and should be re-iterated upon making reservations that jackets are required. It is a slippery slope and lessons the experience to see other patrons is such casual an inappropriate attire.
Just happened upon the White Barn In n looking for a place to have lunch. The staff was attentiveand polite. The food was delicious and beautiful to look at. I never did get an answer on the clam chowder when I asked if parsnips had been used. Perhaps they were potatoes. In any event, I asked because they were not quite done. Not awful--just could have used a little longer cooking time. Lunch was pricey, but really special and presentation beautiful. I would recommend!
The service by reception was very poor. Unknowledgeable staff paired with an "I don't care attitude"! Overpriced would not return. Sorry but this is a lemon in the Valley!!

Absolutely nothing to complain about here. The spa was amazing, food, wine, living quarters, bikes, cars. Absolutely a heavenly oasis tucked in the hills and a nice bike ride from all the best vineyards. I died and went to heaven for a weekend here.
