My coworker and I were staying at the Holiday Inn right next door, we had taken an intense step aerobic class above the restaurant. We walked in to place a 'to go' order. It is not a big place. It is decorated beautifully and comfortable atmosphere. Not sure if the lady who helped was the owner, but she was fantastic, so nice and friendly. The other staff was wonderful too. The food here is nothing less than inspired. I have eaten all across Newport Beach and Southern California and I am hard-pressed to find a better meal than what I had tonight at Sol. The staff is passionate about the food and the owner was even there cleaning tables and making recommendations. The chef takes great pride in presentation and balance of flavors. I had the meatloaf for dinner and it was absolutely wonderful.
