I have been to Dr Sofonio for a few different procedures over the passed few years. He is knowledgeable, listens very well to what results you are looking for, patient as you try to articulate yourself and most of all just a really sensitive doctor. It can be rather embarrassing showing your most unflattering parts to see if they can be improved and Dr Sofonio makes you forget about being embarrassed as he starts to explain what can be done with each part you are wanting to improve. If you are considering cosmetic or facial correction assistance, Dr. Sofonio is someone to meet and consider. He presents a little interestingly...but is a specialist bar none in the desert. He is kind, very quick to diagnose your needs, is conservative about surgical intervention; but if he offers it as an alternative, consider it seriously. He is ethical, thorough, and follow-up with him is welcome and effective. I have been a patient of his for about 20 years; I know he is the best.
Dr Sonfonio is the best doctor we have ever witnessed. He is incredible: highly trained, skillful, professional, caring, a pleasure to interact with, and up to date. A recent experience tells it all. My wife fell and received a nasty gash on her nose. After waiting all day in the emergency room the ‘on call’ plastic surgeon didn’t show up! We called Dr Sofonio at 7pm! He just finished a surgery yet told us to come to his office. He was caring and skillful and my wife's nose is perfect again!
A year ago, I was a 69 year old woman with a "turkey neck", jowls and serious facial lines, due to many years of boating and golfing. Thanks to Dr. Sofonio, I am now a 70 year old woman with a nice tight neck, a pronounced jawline and skin on my cheeks that would rival a baby's butt. Needless to say, "I Love Dr. Sofonio".
I went to see Dr. Sofonio for reconstructive surgery, fixing what another doctor had horribly messed up. I didn't think I would ever be made whole again. Dr. Sofonio is an artist and a surgeon. I couldn't be happier with the results. In fact, I'm still going to the office for followup ultrasound treatment, to hasten healing and minimize scarring. I was surprised to learn that it's part of the procedure with no additional charge. I couldn't be more pleased!

I recently had a face/neck/chin lift completed by Dr. Sofonio. The results were as good, if not better than expected. Early on in the process, Dr. Sofonio stated "believe me, we care more about how you look than you do" and he meant it. Dr. Sofonio did what he said he was going to do and delivered outstanding follow-up care. The staff was polite and professional at all times. I highly recommend Dr. Sofonio for anyone considering a cosmetic procedure.
After going to a plastic surgeon in Cerritos for over a decade, retired and moved to Fawnskin and Big Bear. Needed to find a new doctor. Had a procedure done up here by an aesthetician, but was very painful. Did months of research and found this most wonderful doctor. Very kind, compassionate and totally supportive of your every need! So pleased with results of CO2 and Ultherapy treatments! Greatest staff! The minute you walk into his office, from Elizabeth to Kyle, every staff member is awesome
He is easy to talk to; he listens to your concerns & he tells you all your options. He takes great pride in his work & wants you to be happy with results. You're not treated like "just another patient" because he takes time with you to address what you're looking to accomplish & he makes suggestions to reach that goal. He tells you the truth. I had face work done & am VERY happy with results. He does in depth follow up with you & addresses anything he or you thinks may need attention. An artist!
