Like others have stated, I had a procedure at Penn and was not informed anesthesia wouldn’t be covered by insurance especially by a third party. I have been harassed by this company, and have paid TWICE to get them to leave me alone, but apparently they don’t have that on their records. They had a debt collector reach out to me (continuing the harassment) in which I’ve never in my life had happen before. This company, or whatever it is, needs to be investigated.
If I could give this company 0 stars, or less than 0 stars, that would be too kind. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AS THEIR SERVICES MAY NOT BE COVERED BY INSURANCE AND YOU MAY NOT KNOW IT UNTIL THEY SEND YOU AN INVOICE LONG AFTER THE PROCEDURE. Surprised that I was double billed for Anesthesia. When I called to question it, I was told the doctor instructed and the nurse administered. Each charged me $880. I asked for details of the services and was denied. I feel completely ripped off.
Anesthesia was fine and doctors were friendly. But there is zero transparency with this group. Anytime we have a procedure and this is the anesthesiologist the hospital uses, we get surprise bills. Anytime we ask ahead of time what the anesthesia will cost, no one knows. $2,000 for routine colonoscopy anesthesia (not including the drugs). Wish we had other options in Philly.
I had a procedure at Penn Medicine that required anesthesia. I paid Penn Medicine in full and did not realize there was this third party anesthesia office that I would need to pay as well. They claim to have sent a paper invoice to my address but I did not recall seeing it. Even if I did, I likely would’ve thought it junk mail since I’ve never even heard of this company.
