I travel to Brownsburg often for work and I stop at So Italian as often as I can. The food is fresh with lots of options. I have never had a bad experience, and would recommend this place over any other "chain" Italian restaurant out there. I support local businesses that do it right, and so far, So Italian has always gotten it right for me.
I enjoyed a quiet girls only dinner with my daughter. We are new to the area and wanted to try a local place. We shared the sampler platter, fresh salad, great cheese bread and tasty pasta dishes. The staff were nice and very attentive. We will be back soon!
I was not impressed with it. I ordered a salad which seemed fresh but plain with some onion on it and I added salad dressing which added flavor and color. My hubby had a sampler platter that was to come with breadsticks but showed with a single mozzarella covered slice of bread with no real flavor to it. Not looking to rush back to this experience. I should’ve read the reviews. Like everyone else, the place has a good concept, great location, friendly staff but it is missing the most important thing: good Italian food, or at least freshly cooked items on the menu not just opening bags, heating and serving them.
