Best location in Chincoteague...a great family vacation – If you are looking for a home away from home I have found it. The place is called Snug Harbor Marina in Chincoteague Va.I went and stayed for a week during July , a little bit hot but very nice ! We booked a waterfront cottage with the best view I have ever seen, we got up every morning and had coffee at dockside and watched the wild Chincoteague ponies roam up and down the coastline,very neat. If I could give 0 stars I would – Ok, you will see good and bad reviews of it here, I beg you not to ignore the bad! The cabin smelled bad, looked bad and in general was just bad! The crew who work here are so anti customer service it is awful. They sit around and drink and if you have a question oh my, you feel like you have bothered them so much! Snug Harbor Marina on Chincoteague Island is a waterfront paradise – Snug Harbor is a true paradise.I love going to Chincoteague and leaving all my stress behind.If you are looking for a release from the stress of your daily routine give Chincoteague a try.I check in on a Friday and check out a new person on Sunday.The weekend trip to Chincoteague adds years to my life and brings new perspective to life.
best location in Chincoteague – We stayed in Chincoteague in 2007 and had one of the best vacations in years.We stayed at the Snug Harbor Marina and rented a waterfront cottage for only $99.00 a night.The hotel is located on the east side of Chincoteague and it overlooks Assateague Island.The cottages are modest but very clean and only steps away from the water.
a joke – I have stayed at Snug Harbor one time and that was plenty. I will not stay again and do not recommend it. Everything is very old and the cabin does not even have the scarce items that is says they provide, such as utencils and such. They have some but it was so gross we couldn't use them. The towels and linens were bad also. I don't know how this place could get good reviews, everyone has their opinion I guess but these cabins are not worth the price we paid and there was nothing comfortable about them. Great spot – I stayed here during 2007 and this is not a fancy hotel but very neat and clean.The rooms are a bit small but they have the best beds I have ever slept in!!!!The hotel also has the best view you will ever see.If you are looking for a nice place at a great price give this place a try.I stayed for a full week and only paid $700.00,not bad!
Great beach vacation – I went to Chincoteague island for the first time and found a nice little hotel called Snug Harbor.I have never been to Chincoteague before and didn't know where to stay but heard great things about Snug Harbor,and decided to take a chance and had one of the best vacations I have ever had.I rented a waterfront cottage with the best view ,and even rented kayaks and toured the islands by day and sat on the dock in the evenings and watched the pretty sunsets,it was a very relaxing stay and would love to go... read more
I love Snug Harbor – Chincoteague is a great place to go during May or June,all other times during the summer are very busy.We love staying at the Snug Harbor Marina.This is not a 5 star hotel but very neat and clean with the best views you will see anywhere.We always stay a week but really one week is not long enough.The family atmosphere is what brings us back year after year !
Snug Horror! – I stayed here with my girlfriend over the summer. She was especially not happy with this motel. Actually it's not a motel but cabins. The cabin we stayed in was dumpy. The website said these are waterfront cottages. All we saw when we looked out our window was a dusty parking lot. You have to walk down to the pier to see the water.
