Snow Farm Vineyard began as a dream on the West Shore of South Hero, Vermont. In an effort to preserve Vermont's agricultural land in the face of rapid development by providing an alternative for farmers, grapes were planted in the fields. Our location, on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain permits us to grow cooler climate vinifera grapes, Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as the more cold hardy French Hybrids, Vidal Blanc and Baco Noir. The staff was knowledgeable about their wines, the views were spectacular and the we ended up choosing one of their wines for our wedding! We will definitely return!
