Snow Farm Vineyard began as a dream on the West Shore of South Hero, Vermont. In an effort to preserve Vermont's agricultural land in the face of rapid development by providing an alternative for farmers, grapes were planted in the fields. Our location, on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain permits us to grow cooler climate vinifera grapes, Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as the more cold hardy French Hybrids, Vidal Blanc and Baco Noir. Thanks Snow Farm for a truly unique experience Monday. My husband Jim and I enjoyed the opportunity for hands on picking of the grapes, the education piece and especially the wine tasting! Julie, it is so obvious you are a teacher, you hit all of our senses and wine maker Patrick was so patient and informative, answering our many questions and more, North Hero House packed a yummy box lunch . Highly recommended! We will be back!
We had a delightful evening at Snow Farm Vineyard Thursday evening. Live music, dancing, and delicious wine!
Nothing like a Jump-on-it to come frequently and bring guests. It's pure pleasure for us and our lake company want to go back every summer.
