Snow Farm Vineyard began as a dream on the West Shore of South Hero, Vermont. In an effort to preserve Vermont's agricultural land in the face of rapid development by providing an alternative for farmers, grapes were planted in the fields. Our location, on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain permits us to grow cooler climate vinifera grapes, Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as the more cold hardy French Hybrids, Vidal Blanc and Baco Noir. I went to the Nobby Reed concert at Snow Farm tonight with my sister Jennifer. The wine was fabulous and we had a great time. Unfortunately as we drove out of the driveway we discovered we had a flat tire. We were trying unsuccessfully to inflate it with a battery powered pump. All concert goers had left and we were feeling very worried when along came Jim and Joe on a four wheeler. They are Snow Farm employees and they offered to change the tire.
