My family had reservation for new years with my mother who is dying with cancer. when we arrived the manager said she didnt have our reservations, they had gotten new computer system and we must have been put in, she didnt offer any help , the only thing she offered was to call the police, I had to go find rooms , which was ver hard, then when we got home the manger had left a message on my ansering machine that she was holding ourroom and needed to call. Run down, carpet torn and so dirty I didnt want to take off my shoes, door knob to bathroom broken, security lock on main door broken, extremely outdated. No wifi but we were told there was. We arrived in town about midnight and had our reservation, paid for 3 nights (in cash) and then found out how bad the room was and that there was no wifi. I went back to the front desk and said it was so late we would stay that one night because it was so late (at least the sheets and the bathroom was clean)... but we would be leaving in... read more
My husband and I stayed at Smokyland In Feb. 2010..We thought it was great we had a queen suite with a Jacuzzi, the room had been newly renovated..The service was great and the guy at the front desk was great, very friendly..It was in walking distance to everything..It is located in the middle of Gatlinburg..We went back in June 2010 and again stayed at Smokyland we then got a King suite room.."It was Great"..It also was renovated. Would highly suggest this place to anyone..We will stay here every visit to Gatlinburg, TN.
We stayed there in late April , The service was great. The little girl at the front desk, "Tever was so nice and kind to us, she always had a smile and happy to help in any way,Our room was awesome, \$224 is the only room to rent...heheheh.. This is motel is very clean and close to attraction in walking distance. I plan I returning to the motel to stay again for my next vacation in Gatlinburg.
My husband and I drove 9 hours to get to this hotel. We had seen it on a trip in July and I wanted to stay there because of the location. I read the reviews and was not overly concerned. Then we got there. I was very concerned. Our room, 103, was horrid. The room was clean, but the carpet felt like it was sticking to our shoes. The room was small and cramped. When we hung our clothes in the closet, we got a surprise the next day. There were spider webs in the closet (which had no door). They say you can use the safe in the r... read more

This is a great place to stay! within walking distance of everything, very clean rooms and the bed was great!!
