Very good. Lives up to its billing. Beans are amazing. Good pour on the Jameson as well. Will definitely go back.

We usually love smokin daves, and look forward to eating there every time we are in estes on vacation. We went today and were very disappointed in the amount of food we got. We get the daves triple and its usually a lot of food but this time it was not. The flavors were good but we were disappointed.

Wow, we were there this week, highly recommended by locals and we were not disappointed! Great service with Trudy, loved the catfish filets, BBQ chick and pork sandwich. Bought Dave's BBQ sauce to continue our motorhome trip to Alaska! Would love to get back there , thanks for it all.

Normally I'd give this place five stars for the food, but the customer service at the hostess stand was so horrible today. I understand the restaurant is busy today.. However, when the hostess greeted my party with a grouchy attitude and a snappy "ITS GONNA BE A 25 MINUTE WAIT!" I thought it rude and very in-professional. I watched multiple customers leave that came in behind me leave after being talked to that way.
You absolutely, positively, cannot find better food anywhere in Estes, or perhaps, better barbecue anywhere else. There's a second location down in Lyons now, which is good, but you cannot beat the original and I've seen Smokin' Dave himself several times, bartending at his own restaurant, and hands-on service from the man himself cannot be undervalued. I usually get the basket that has three meats-\-\chicken, ribs or pulled pork (gotta change it up!) and sausage-\-\but the burgers and sandwiches are great deals for great me... read more
