First off, used to eat at the original Smoke House before it was bought out by the Newport Restsurant group. There is no comparison to the original restaurant- you used to smell the smoker and see cooks smoking meats. The meats have no real smoked taste and the corn and crab chowder was bland and lukewarm. The cole slaw was unseasoned and the corn bread tasted old and soggy. Heading back to Tennessee next month for some real BBQ!

Great brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Simple menu, nothing fancy here, but some of the best barbacue in Rhode Island. Simple down home service.
Love the Smoke House. I have never had a bad meal there! Tried the cobb salad with Salmon on Saturday....it was delicious!!!
If you are in Rhode Island. This is a place with great food. Located in beautiful Newport RI. Make it there at least once a year while in RI.
