Been coming here since it was the original Kreutz since I was a kid. Darn good ribs, brisket, and of course Sausage!! Basically, where the label "Lockhart Sausage" became coined. It's old smoky log burning grills give you that old burly feel that one would expect from a great established BBQ place!!!
Sausage is off the hook and they need to bottle that sauce stat !!!

Brisket and ribs were very good. Staff could be a bit friendlier. Was extremely disappointed in this day and time they don’t accept credit cards but conveniently have an ATM to whack you for another couple of bucks.
Smitty’s Market is iconic. I went WAY out of my way to visit the last time I was in Texas. It’s definitely worth the pilgrimage to visit this Mecca of BBQ. The sausages are amazing, the ribs are delicious and the brisket is fantastic. Meat as tender as mother’s love. 10/10 would smash again.
Best BBQ I've ever had, even better than mine own. Loved seeing the smoker and firepit. 5 stars … and has to be in the top 5 best BBQ in Texas. Looking forward to the next time we are passing thru Lockhart! Thanks again. (Yum)
It was worth the drive from San Antonio, Everything i ordered was fresh and delicious they also had good and quick customer service. I had a little bit of everything, Barbeque Brisket, Sausage, Ribs, Beans, Potato Salad & Pecan Pie, but the best thing about my meal was the Barbeque Brisket. I would definitely come back and i will let my family & friend's know about this Restaurant in Lockhart Texas.
