Fantastic brisket and, honestly, the best jalapeno sausage ever. Great service, great spot, and amazing food!
It’s okay
It has been several years since I have been to Smitty's but it was a memorable experience. I grew up in the south eating bbq at places like Nick's, White Pig, McClards, Rendezvous and Central. This was my first and favorite experience with Texas bbq. It is my favorite style now! Great place!!!
Moist brisket was wonderful, beef shoulder was a nice change of pace since most places don’t carry it. They don’t offer bbq sauce but it would have been welcome at our table. Sides were just okay.

brisket needs some work. something has changed as the quality has really gone down hill.
Insane brisket ... super weird dining epic flavor
Showed up in the morning (0830) and they only had sausage available (damn good), but the 2 hr detour to check the place out was worth every minute. It's like stepping into the Wrigley Field of meat markets.
The jalapeño sausage at Smitty’s is probably the best I’ve had. The brisket is very good too. And it’s great to end the meal with a scoop of bluebell for $1.50.
