Smelly dog is an awesome place to take your dogs. We started there with an emergency day care and overnight for our 2 dogs. We called and went immediately there, the staff is so understanding. Our babies ended up staying for 3 days and nights. We received progress reports twice a day with pictures. I called everyday to get an in person update. I had never left these 2 pups anywhere before. I had the most traumatic experience at Smelly Dog, and if you LOVE your pooch, youd avoid this place. Unfortunately, our groomer of many years retired and left the state, so we had been searching for a new spot to try out. We decided on Smelly Dog because of the proximity to our home, oh boy, was that a mistake. My dog was not safe at this facility for daycare and I have $10,000 in medical bills from an emergency surgery that happened from her ingesting a foreign body under this daycares care. I had to reach out to them MANY times before even receiving a phone call back from the manager. And no call to check in how my dog even did after surgery. I am APPALLED by this company. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Bowser had a great time meeting everyone. Self wash was the way to go.
SUPER annoyed. They don’t pay attention to detail. They charged me $50 for a bath for my 20 pound dog. We questioned it in the store and were just told a basic bath is $50 .. come home and look at their website and find that my 20 pound dog should have been billed for a small or medium (so $25-$30) and NOT BILLED FOR A GIANT DOG bath which is $50.
