Purchased Hamachi Loin from SWS at the Bryn Mawr Farmers Market and asked at the table if I would be happy using it for ceviche. Both of the individuals at the table quickly answered "it will be the best you have ever had". Boy were they right. Incredibly clean and fresh it made the most incredible Ceviche. Another great find at Small World Seafood
Where do I start with this place? Not only is the seafood top notch quality, but the staff is the most amazing as well. It has been a pleasure being a customer over the last few years. They know my name (how many businesses make an effort to do this?). Also, my kids often come with me to pick up our order and they love the experience as well. Not to mention that, when you don’t know how to cook something, such as octopus for me, Robert will always help you with an easy recipe.
Not to be dramatic, but Small World Seafood completely changed our lives and the way we eat seafood. We started ordering a few months ago and I can't believe we didn't know about it sooner. Being a New England native who moved to Philadelphia, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find quality seafood here, but safe to say I was very wrong! My friends told me about Small World a couple years ago so I gave it a try. I am not exaggerating when I say it was life-changing. The seafood is restaurant quality and it has exposed me to fishes I would not have tried otherwise. It has upped our cooking game and I have not bought seafood anywhere else since. Bonus - They added a Queen Village stop close to our house!
