Great alternative to Small Smiles I work with a lot of families and have heard many complaints about Small Smiles. I just wanted to recommend Treasure Valley Pediatric Dentistry for anyone looking for a great pediatric dentist. Dr. Rogers is amazing! I have two little boys I take there and couldn't be happier with the service we receive!
Horror for children I took my 6 year old daughter to this office and was told she needed 7 crowns and also needed a tooth pulled. They scared me saying that her one front tooth was so badly infected that the infection could spread to her sinus and then to her brain. That terrified me so I agreed to let them to the one tooth. Two days later that tooth fell out with the crown attached. I took her to a different dentist with the tooth in a container and copies of her chart with xrays . Guess what? Disappointed with policy of dentist office I took my 3 year old son to the clinic last week and when I arrived was told I could NOT be with my son while he had his teeth cleaned and I also wasn't allowed to watch him from the window. I asked to be with him twice and was turned down. It wasn't until my husband demanded to be with him or else he was taking my son and leaving, that my husband was finally allowed to go in the back and be with him while he had his teeth cleaned. Good so far! I have taken my son twice to small smiles in boise. Today will be his third trip. I dont understand reviews saying parents had no idea what was going on with their children. I watch like a hawk on the other side of a glass window for my sons apointment. Im only 30 feet away from him if that. check on news reports from Colorado I took my kids to small smiles yesterday in Boise. I was appalled by the policy that I wouldn't be allowed to be with my kids especially my 21 month old. I was told that they would get me if she was crying. Long story short when she was returned to me she was hysterical and apparently had been for quite sometime, but I was told that she had started crying when she saw her brothers. I Pray You Sued Them This is so terrible to read!!! It is unimaginable, but what's worst is that my local tv channel wjla in Wash, DC investigated one of these clinics in Maryland where the majority of the patients are medicaid recipients. A 4 year old child was videoed crying hysterically and strapped in the chair with a papoose to keep him from moving. No Smiles I just got home from my son's appointment with Small Smiles. They wouldn't let me go back with him and he is TWO YEARS OLD! He had some cavaties and over an hour and a half later when I finally was taken back to see him, I found him in the corner of a small room, on the floor crying hysterically and looking scared to death. Happy smiles I have been taking my children to small smiles dental clinic since it opened here in Boise. I really enjoy the fact the my kids seem to feel comfortable enough to go back with the nurses and the dentist with out myself being with them, but at the same time I can watch them through a window if I have any concerns. They send out little post cards to the kids reminding them of there next appointment and that also puts a smile on my kids face.
