If you do nothing else while in Detroit go to Slows! Not only is the food amazing but the staff is super nice as are the locals who hang out there.

Loved the bartender - he knew what I wanted before I did! BBQ was awesome, especially the brisket (highly recommended with the spicy sauce). The sides... WHOA!! Got to have the sweet potato mash and the baked beans.
I travel all over the country and look for the best beef brisket in each city I go to. The brisket at Slows plus the sauces (apple and tangy are the best imo) is/are one of the best in the country outside of Texas. Get the Brisket on Langerman's Toast. You won't be disappointed if you're a brisket lover.
Definitely the best BBQ around! Service was awesome! Bartender took wonderful care of us and made sure we had a wonderful experience.
Very good food, I expecially loved the baby backs, and the baked beans!!!
My daughter and I split a full order of ribs and a full order of pulled pork. The pulled pork was good and tender, the ribs were so dry and Not fall of the bone tender. The ribs were so tuff and hard that it really was disappointing.
Great food and service!! Will definitely go back!!
I don't complain much about food but everything I ate was pure Garbage specially the smoked apple wood chicken went once and you couldn't pay me to eat there again I was and still am beyond disappointed
