From the first oil delivery we had issues from telling them to drop only 150 gallons per month to them dropping whatever they want . But now our oil burner stopped working it’s. Ow 24 hours and still even with a maintenance contract my house is 44 degrees my kids thank god are in school they are ether I’ll equiped or horrible with dealing with emergencies. Do your self a favor avoid them by all costs
I woke up this morning to no heat or hot water. I called Slomin's at 10:38am to request a service call. Called back at 12:20 to let them know that I may be out of oil, and that I was supposed to receive a delivery on 12/18/17....which I never did. I am under a contract with Slomins home heating oil for automatic delivery. Today is December 17th and we have run out of oil since they have not delivered oil since a September 15th.
They are thieves!!! I called for service was told 3 days. Service guy comes & said he needs a new board & will be back the next day. The day is passing so I call up to find out what time I should expect the service guy back & was told the “board” will take 3 to 5 business days to get and $425. I can’t believe it would take that many days to get the part so I went online & found it for $56 plus shipping & I can have it in 2 days. No oil delivery in the last 6 months. I called 2 weeks ago when I saw I had a quarter of a tank left. I have called six diifferent times since and six different people, including a supervisor, have promised a delivery. Still no delivery. They apparently do not deliver oil on the weekend. When I called today I was told that they cannot confirm that my next delivery will be made as promised. Now I have an 1/8 of a tank left. I am going through a major financial hardship and have been a loyal client for over 10 years. The contract was signed by my ex husband who has moved out since 3 years and isnt residing at the house that has the alarm system. They came my door offering a locked in rate for oil heating. They claimed that I would not have to pay anything upfront. However, what they did not disclose (despite me asking specifically) was that if I did not get oil from them I would be obligated to pay them $500. They had me sign a tablet without showing me the details of the document or contract that I was signing...it wasn't until after they had left that I received the contract via email - AFTER I signed it. I had Slomins installed in May of 2017, mainly because it was a concern with my wife and I that we have a security system installed to make us feel safe when we are home, as well as not home. We read reviews, and were happy with what we saw online, and with the salesman, and had the service installed. In the past 30 days, the Fire alarm and has gone off, unprevoked, and scared the ever living daylights out of my kids. Be aware hidden fees that they will charge you in the future and their reason is that it is in the contract and they will not even invoice you. And be aware when you sign a contract from an agent who will promise you that he will add extra sensor with no extra charge. Be aware you will see it after two months. When they have a problem with the equipment be aware it takes too long to take action. I should have never change from *****to Slomins. Installation is so expensive it will charge you $105 per sensor.
