The dedication found here at SCL, is inspiring to say the least. The entire staff has one goal, the patient. The facility is not new, it is in great condition from continued renovations & upgrades to the infrastructure. The Human Resource Department continues to impress me with their employment choices & it is so obvious SCL has a large training budget. I can't say enough about how good my experience at Lutheran Hosp was! I was admitted for a case of shingles. From everyone in the ER to the nursing staff on the 5 th &6th floor you were all wonderful! Thank you all so much. Kelly Sharp.
My son cut his finger and this was our first trip to the ER since right after he was born nearly 6 years ago. My husband and I were probably as scared as our son but EVERYONE who we encountered made us feel like we were the only patients in the ER. We felt our son was getting the best care and we were fully supported and informed of everything happening. Caring, competent, comforting staff members work amazingly well together as a team to provide excellent patient care, and they also appear to love the work they do! As a patient's family member, I highly recommend Lutheran Medical Center!

I had orthopedic day surgery here. Excellent nursing staff and facilities.
This Emergency Department is a complete joke. Their intake is horrendous, plan on a lengthy wait in the lobby. Inattentive, uncaring, and incompetent nurses and doctors. I think I saw more janitors than I did medical staff. You guys seriously need to fix your issue of being understaffed and improve wait times. Staff at front desk constantly on their cell phones. If you have a serious emergency, trust me, you'll be better off at just about any other hospital than this one.
