Gorgeous View!! – We went on October and had surprisingly fantastic weather, so the view was the best imaginable. Although it was dark, the lights from the city, other towns, and boats were just beautiful. The food was surprisingly good. Usually for an expensive meal the good is not cooked well or just insanely weird. Here it was most excellent. This is also not a place for children. I was lucky to be able to have someone watch my child as his prescence would have absolutly ruined the experience for so many other people, and... read more

scarily overpriced average food – Our second visit here was disappointing for a number of reasons. The dress code which they make such a big deal about is not enforced. My husband and I dressed smartly whilst most other patrons(tourists) were allowed in wearing jeans and sneakers. Our bill was about $220 for three courses and two cocktails each. The menu lacked creativityand innovation and the desserts were seriously boring. The service, view and atmosphere are fine aside from people bringing their children(what a waste of mon... read more

A "must do" at least once! – Let me start out by saying, I am a penny pincher at heart. The prices almost gave me palpitations, but after one bite of the Beef Medallions and garlic mashed potatoes, I was ready to whip out the VISA and order one of everything! We have been to the Sky City twice and have been thrilled with the ambiance, food, servers ... everything! A couple of suggestions. 1) When you make your dinner reservations, ask what time sunset is ( if not from the area), then make your reservation for half an hour to... read more

The slowly rotating dining room showcases the region's every highlight, from Queen Anne to Mount Rainier. – The Scene The doughnut-shaped restaurant spins slowly--about one rotation per hour--and every seat in the house faces the long, curved windows. Large tables of tourists can get boisterous; evenings settle down to well-dressed couples, who seem to be getting engaged more often than not. Servers are ready with smiles, but most of their training seems to focus on nearby tourist attractions, not food details. The Food Loca... read more

A Little Retentive... – My girlfriend and I recently visited the Sky City Restaurant. I was asked by the manager to don one of their shirts over my T-Shirt because I was told it was offensive. First of all the T-shirt is not offensive, and secondly if it was, I should have been told so by the folks downstairs before I waited around for 1 1/2 hours for our reservation. I was embarrassed personally by having to go change and it completely ruined the day and our visit to the needle. They should worry more about improvng the 60'... read more

The Food Was Terrible!!!!!!!! – The title of the review says it all. Tourists - save your money and go to the observation tower instead. I'm a Seattle native and will not ever eat there again.

Fine Tourist Trap – If one is looking for a high-profile locale, this place simply cannot be beat. However, I have to admit that I was here for the atmosphere and view rather than the food. When I took a friend from out of town to this place, we were quite excited as we zipped our way upwards. The service is top-notch, and the presentation of the food is quite classy. However, once we began eating, the reality hit us. The taste was decent, but nowhere near the level of the presentation. Afterwards, we went to Dicks to grab s... read more

We have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the SkyCity Restaurant and never had a bad experience!! Always good service, good food, and a great view! The waiters are friendly, helpful, and attentive. Food is always fresh and excellent! Parents should get a sitter when they plan to eat at SkyCity, however, because they get noisy and have been allowed to run around while others are paying a premium price for their fine dining. Kids should be left at home. This is not the place for a business meal, why pay the price and miss th... read more

A meal with a view.... – This place is just great. An awesome meal and an even more aspiring view. We had prime rib and halibut and both dishes were fantastic. The price was sky high, but for the price of admission, it was worth it. You won't be disappointed here.
