Surprisingly Great Food – I've been reading reviews about the restaraunt and it's new management this summer, trying to decide if I really did want to take my out of town boyfriend there. Don't go for the food – The only reason to go there is the view period. The food isn?t even good enough to be half the price it is ? really. My partner ordered a steak medium (he like meat cooked, it?s very sad) ? it came completely cooked through, no pink at all! Ack! Try the icecream dessert ! – They have a signature dessert that smokes like a volcano. It's really cool looking and tops off an enjoyable meal.
Great View, Disappointing Experience – Shortly after my boyfriend moved to Seattle from San Francisco, he surprised me with a celebratory date to the Space Needle for dessert and drinks. Completely Wonderful! – If you don't already know, the SkyCity restaurant at the Space Needle was newly remodeled and redone! There is a new chef in town (actually a Master Chef - of which there are only 61 worldwide!). The new decor was absolutely breathtaking! Great view, food not worth the price – Up front this place is not a place for everyday dinning. The dress code and high prices make it a place that you may go once a year for a special day. Stepping into the restaurant you are taken by the view. During the dinning experience you have to keep looking outside as you see the whole city. Great View and Good Food – If it weren't for a gift certificate, I don't think we would have eaten here due to the price (and we already experienced a dinner in an Atlantan rotating restaurant). A great view with a great meal. – It is stupid not to go up and see the needle's view without eaing at the SkyCity. It is a very classy atmosphere. I think that you have to pay at least $25 a person, but that also takes care of your $15 ticket to go up and just see the view as well. I went with my boyfriend and we ended up slitting an appitizer, an entree and a desert, it was all really good. A very romantic setting, great date atmosphere!
Great view and good food – If you're going to pay to go up in the needle you migh as well just eat at SkyCity. The views are great and I really like the food. I guess the only bad things are parking and prices. You can find a spot easy enough if the Sonics are not playing and the prices really are not that bad if you consider that you didn't have to buy a ticket. Great place to bring visitors from out of town.
