Asked my internist whom he would go to for a dermatologist, and he told me Dr. Skolnik. Then asked my son’s pediatrician which dermatologist he would send his own kids to and he also said Dr. Skolnik. You know Dr. Skolnik must be good- which he is! A word about on-line doctor reviews: beware of knuckleheads who go on websites and complain of "bills" or “long waits”. They are most likely people who have deductibles they don't want to pay, or confused a doctor's waiting room with the barbershop!
Dr. Skolnik came highly recommended to me by just about everyone I know (friends/relatives/co-workers) and now I know why: even though you may have to wait a little bit in the waiting room when you get there, when you do finally see him, he makes you feel like you are the only patient he has all day and he takes the time to listen to you and asks questions, and really cares. He never treats you like a number or just another patient: he makes you feel very reassured and that is why he is great
I have seen Dr Skolnik a few times over the years and I have found him to be friendly but not great at his job.. The women who work his front desk are sometimes rude and treat you like they are doing you a favor. Your appointments always start about 45 minutes after your scheduled time and the doctor rushes in and out in lighting speed. The office will charge your credit card without warning or previously billing you. I had to cancel my card after repeated charges appeared after my appt.
Extraordinary doctor, extraordinary office staff, and extraordinary compassion. I would travel 100 miles if I had to to see this dermatologist. One of the last ones left that cares more about preventing skin cancer than preventing wrinkles. No wonder his fellow dermatologists voted for him to be their president. He saved my life, and that of several friends of mine, and all with good humor and good nature. Extraordinary.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Skolnik and his staff. I have gone to him for skin checks and mole removals. He is thorough and very careful while being friendly yet professional. Last week he took out two moles, had them biopsied then called me himself on Saturday morning to give me the results. His staff genuinely cares about the patients and treats everyone with respect and kindness. The morning after the procedure one of the staff phoned me to see if everything was OK.
Dr Skolnik found and removed a freckle that turned out to be positive for stage 0 melanoma. He literally saved my life by this early detection and referral to an Oncology Dermatologist. He was originally my daughter's dermatologist and at a visit about 7 yrs ago convinced me to get a mole check. I'm so grateful that he did and because of that, the melanoma was found early and treated. I see him regularly and wouldn't trust my skin health to any other doctor.
My family has been cared for by Dr. Skolnik for over 10 years. He and his staff are easy to work with, accommodating, and caring. I appreciate how wonderfully Dr. Skolnik explains exams and procedures - he is clear and concise making it easy to understand. He provides easy to read discharge instructions and his office is great at following up post procedure to check-in on you.

Dr. Skolnik just may be the best doctor I have ever been to- for anything! Everyone I know recommended him, and I just found out that he is also the President of the Dermatology Academy of Massachusetts. No surprise there: he is thoughtful, kind, meticulous, and very generous with his time. Whenever I go in, he answers all of my questions (and I always have a lot!) and makes sure that I understood everything. He has been my dermatologist for about 2 years now. Seeing him is a pleasure!
