I was visiting out of town for a work trip - very welcoming gym. I came for a Bodypump Class and Sara and Tara were more than welcoming!!! Nothing like waking up for a 5:15 a.m. class and enjoying it so much.
I've been a member for six years. I have attended several other local gyms, and I still feel Skills offers the best value for the variety of classes, activities and equipment. The group fitness instructors are experienced and enthusiastic, with proper teaching credentials. The cardio cinema is a great way to get a workout in while enjoying a movie. This gym is AMAZING! It's very clean and the environment is awesome. The new management is great and the staff is so polite. The gym has a variety of different equipment, classes to choose from and you don't have to deal with those loud meatheads like other gyms. There's simply just no other gym in the area that compares. After a long hard workout they have a sauna or hot tube to relax your muscles.
Skills is not a "gym", its what I would call a second home. First class all the way from the front end staff to the owners, the trainers and even the clientele! I love this place(and it's people)more and more every year. Clean, machines kept up, fantastic service, great prices, beautiful woodwork, did I mention AWESOME PEOPLE! Anyway, come see what I mean:)
Last year I left a 2 star review for the gym, at the time it seemed like every time I worked out something went wrong. Fast forward a year and I have signed back up once I found out it was under new ownership and let me tell you it has been a totally different experience! Jana was awesome in helping get my account setup and she was also VERY knowledgeable as a trainer.
