I booked a vehicle weeks in advance of needing it. It was only after payment it was revealed that there wasn't After Hours Pickup. SiXT desk closed at 11 PM, my plane was scheduled for 10:35 arrival. Hotel rooms were already booked / paid elsewhere. When I called to enquire about afterhours, I was told I could pick the vehicle up the next morning. Was told by employee “August” at rental car counter that his Step Mom was a “Local News Weather Producer” and she told him that there would be a winter storm over the next two days and I should pay $40 more per day to upgrade to an SUV. Got SCAMMED by SIXT for damages that I did not cause. They claim I owe them $945 for a small scratch that was already there. They even returned my deposit and weeks later I got a bill for damages. The agent even did a walk around of the car and cleared it when I dropped it off. This was in Seattle International SeaTac airport. There was a class action lawsuit for this but it has already closed. I filed a BBB claim and am still fighting it because they still say they are pursuing the claim. I recently rented a car and left two ipads under the driver seat upon return. I instantly realized my mistake and tried to contact Sixt from my departing flight. The customer service line would not put me in contact with anyone at the physical location and asked me to go through a byzantine process and fill out an online form. I sent a couple of followup emails without a response and they let me know after 19 days the ipads were not found.... I will not rent from Sixt again.
