Good Deal I go here for check ups aside from my other health plan. I buy my contact lenses here and they gave free frames( $129 - contact lenses for the whole year plus free frame) Wow. Staffs are friendly and efficient and the place is clean. Sometimes you get to smell something familiar - well, its located downtown of San Francisco!
I needed sight fast, and got it overnight in this place! – I'm from Australia, and when my pair of glasses went under the rails of the fabled cable cars of San Francisco, I went to this place for help. I was sporting new lenses and frames within hours. Tip don't try and jump onto a moving cable car loaded with a backpack, camera gear and an open bottle. DO NOT GO HERE – Had to return 3 times and they still didn't get the order correct. When asked to refund our money, they said they could not. There were no managers that worked on weekends and therefore were not authorized. "Sorry about that folks" I said, really, no one has ever asked for a refund - you've never had a disappointed customer? "Nope, never". Amazing. After 2 years, I can safely say I hate this place – I am not afraid to say that after going here for 2 years, I hate this place. DO NOT GO HERE. a few things over the course that went wrong: 1. cost more money. I gave them my insurance, and over the course of 2 years of ordering contacts, they never used it! I found out only when I asked if a new insurance card would change anything, and they said "no, because we don't have you down as having insurance". Best Quality and Service for the price – I had a great experience here. I found the staff to be fun and knowledgeable. I didn't know how much the whole package would cost and what my insurance covered, but I was given several options. In the end-great frames, great service!
Worst Turnaround Time / Glasses Expierence I've ever had – I've been wearing glasses for over ten years. I got a pair of "Rim Mounts" and Sunglasses on one of their deals. I was treated well when I purchased them, and then things went south. They never called when the first pair was done, and then the lens didn't properly fit. Where are my glasses? – I brought my Oakley frames in for repair and they've had them for over a month now.I bought the extended warranty and now they say that they don't have a contract with Oakley anymore. They said they'll see what they can do. Update May 23 rd;still waiting I'm having another pair of glasses somewhere else. I'm spending $775 in total for frames and perscription. S.F.S.E. could have had this money... I got my frames for Oakley not S.F.S.E. They sent them there. That's what you get for the $25 warranty. No... read more
