After waiting 10 minutes for my new patient appointment, I spent a long time with Dr. Singer, as he gathered all my information and wanted to know the details of what was bothering me. Dr Singer and all his staff do not wear masks or use gloves to examine you, there is no soap or hand desinfectant in the room. The assistant touch my head and body without gloves, which was so against all the rules of how all doctors are. I could not believe it.
Wonderful experience. Experienced, caring physician who listened to my history and recorded every detail on his computer. Then he examined me and ran lung function and allergy tests. Explained the results and even gave me a detailed history of his records, test results, and interpretation that I could share with my engineer husband that evening. Doctor made uncomfortable comments about my body. Exposed my chest (am a woman) to the room unexpectedly. Took notes with his clipboard resting on my bottom. Omitted treatment options in our consultation, but wrote that we discussed them in the written summary. Said that if I did not do things 100% his way, I would develop asthma (second opinion thought that was ridiculous).
I saw Dr. Singer for a very complicated allergy problem. I had already been to two other local allergists and had received no help. Dr. Singer took a thorough history, did a detailed exam with his nurse in the room, and then performed some allergy and pulmonary function tests. He made the diagnosis and initiated therapy, and I have been well for over a year. I went to Dr. Singer many, many years ago, in the early 80's. He DID help me with my severe allergies, and his staff was very professional, but, he always made me nervous because at one visit when I was about 8 years old, he pulled my underwear down and back up again quickly while my back was turned to him. My mother was in the room and said nothing. It made me feel very uncomfortable.
Dr Singer explained my condition thoroughly. He is experienced and knowledgeable in his field and made me feel comfortable. He was very pleasant and easy to talk to . The office staff was professional. The facility was clean and tidy. I recommend this physician.
