Favorite resturant ever! Great food, very prompt and friendly. Southern food that I can't find anywhere else. I love their homemade desserts! The vegetables are outstanding.
I took friends to lunch from out of town on a Sunday. The staff was friendly and courteous as always the atmosphere was great service was very good the food was horrible. They did not have chicken fried chicken so I ordered chicken fried steak which was clearly frozen and not handmade and tasted worse than a Stouffers TV dinner the sautéed spinach was cold and the baked squash casserole was tasteless. It's one of a kind! There are no other good southern cooking restaurants left to get good vegetables & homemade pies except for the Silver Caboosa! Their pecan pie has spoiled me for any other pecan pie including my own which I used to think was pretty good! . Great recipes for vegetable casseroles, mouth-watering gravy & REAL mashed potatoes! . If you haven't tried this restaurant out then you're missing out! What are you waiting for!! . .
