Dr. DeStatsio always worked in a professional manner and took care of my families health for over 20 years. This is a terrible situation for all. I pray that he and his family can heal from all of this devistation.
Where is my family doctor for the past ten years?... I love Dr. DiStasio , but the office needs to open up so people can get their medical records. Either that or post a way to get them. I personally have several medical issues that I used to talk to the doctor about. I also have multiple prescriptions to fill. This is one big mess. Anybody know who to talk to get our medical records? geez
I am devastate and heart broken to hear that Dr Destasio's office is closed. Dr D has been my physician for over 20 years! I have full confidence in him! He has NEVER referred me to a lab or testing that was outside of my medical coverage. I am hoping the closing of his office is temporary, and that he will be able to return to practice soon! I stand behind Dr. Destasio 150% and have tears in my eyes as I write this account to defend him in every sense of the term. For me, I don't care what the news reports say and believe Dr. Destasio has done nothing wrong. As my family physician for 20 + years, never has Dr. Destasio suggested that I go to a specific lab or has he written a prescription for lab work that wasn't necessary or appeared suspicious. I don't care what the news media says, I will continue to use Dr. DeStasio as my physician. He is caring, personal and never sends me for tests or prescribes drugs that I don't need. He knows my history since 2004 and yes, remembers me every time I am there. I have been a patient of Silver Bay Medical Center for over 10 years I would be there when the doors opened and had to wait 3 hours and they still told me that the doctor could not see me yet. I made an appointment 3 months in advance for an issue I was having and when I got there on my designated day and time. They told me the doctor I was there to see left the practice 2 months prior.
