You should be very careful when working with Tamayo and/or Silver and Oak. I recently rented an apartment, which I found online, believing it to be for-rent-by-owner. My lease had numerous surprises in it, all of which were all favorable to the landlord. A few of these included a 17.5mo lease vs a 12mo lease because Tamayo told the landlord it was "easier for him to rent in warmer weather". I agreed to this, unfortunately. Tamayo sold us a NIGHTMARE flipped house last year. We'll be about 50k in the hole fixing the garbage work that was hidden from us and our inspector behind walls / floors. From what we've heard she still continues to work with and represent these clients. Would not trust and would proceed with extreme caution. These people have complete ruined our first time homebuying experience. It's been non stop problems and I honestly don't know when it will end.
I signed a lease with this company. I stayed in the apartment for a year. The apartment was infested with water bugs And mice I moved out 2023. I have yet to receive my security deposit it’s not fair, but I’m not giving up. The landlord was very nasty and disrespectful. He told me that he love a battle. His name is Joel Schwartz. I am really upset because I deserve my security deposit.
Please hire professional realtors. Diane has no professionalism and delayed our closing by almost a month.
