However with the demise of the Great Gorge Railway in 1938, the construction of a superhighway to Toronto, and excessive pollution strangling the river, the waterfront declined. The only activity was the piling of sand dredged from the river bottom. Beginning in 1978 the waterfront had a rebirth. The village trustees purchased the land and opened it up to fishing, and a launch was put into place. It was the first to dining at the silo and it was great, we will definitely be back, the haystack was awesome, loved the scenery as well...
A little pricey, but, the view/environment was worth it. Food was just ok.
I give the Silo 3 out of 5. The Haystack is great. The last three times I’ve ordered French fries they sucked all three times. I’ll stick with just the Haystack and save $5
I love the view of the Niagara River and the famous Haystack sandwich. A nice cold beer and a good friends make this my go to place in the summer.❤️❤️❤️
I had a veggie burger. I'm picky too.it was amazing!!!! next time the haystack!!! I tried Hubby's and its awesomesauce!!!!!!
